Questions
Frequently asked
The things people ask at the counter every day.
What time do you open?
Every shop opens at 5:00am, Monday through Saturday. We are closed Sundays. Closing times vary a little: Spanish Fork and St. George run to 3:00pm Monday to Thursday and 2:00pm Friday and Saturday; Ogden runs to 3:00pm Monday to Saturday.
What is a kolache?
A kolache is a soft, slightly sweet roll baked around a savoury filling — sausage and cheese, bacon egg cheese and potato, ham ranchero. It is breakfast you can eat with one hand. Almost no other donut shop in Utah makes them.
How much is a dozen?
A dozen is buy ten, get two free. Traditional glazed is $15.00 a dozen, assorted $22.50, specialty $27.50. Small kolaches are $26.50 a dozen and large are $49.50.
Do you have a discount later in the day?
Yes. Every donut in the case is half price after 2:00pm, Monday through Thursday.
Where can I get dirty soda?
The Soda Run counter is at our Ogden shop only, at 554 Washington Blvd. It is not at Spanish Fork or St. George.
Do you serve coffee?
Yes, at Ogden and St. George, from Perks, a local roaster. Fresh ground coffee is $2.50. Spanish Fork does not have the coffee partnership yet.
Can I order ahead for a group?
Yes, and you should. Plan on about one and a half donuts per person, and give the shop a day's notice for a large order where you can. Call the shop nearest you — same-day is often fine.
Can I order online?
Yes. Each shop has its own ordering page for pickup, linked from that shop's page on this site.
Do you deliver?
Sometimes, yes — ask the shop. We are on DoorDash, and for larger orders and weddings the shops will often deliver directly. It depends on the day and whether someone is free, so call the shop you want to order from and ask. Ordering direct is always faster than a delivery app, and the shop gets your order straight away.
What is your most popular item?
Filled donuts and large savoury kolaches go first, most mornings. If either is what you came for, come early or order ahead — they are usually gone before the plain glazed.
Are you open on Sunday?
No. All shops are closed Sundays.
Do you cater weddings and events?
Yes. Mixed boxes of donuts and kolaches are the most common event order we take. Call the shop nearest the venue.
