When the drive-thru is the better call
We would rather say this than pretend otherwise.
If you need to stay in the car, go to the drive-thru. If you want a specific thing at a specific time and cannot risk it being gone, go to the drive-thru — we bake a set number each morning and when the sausage and cheese are gone they are gone until tomorrow. And if it is Sunday, go to the drive-thru, because we are closed.
What we are good for is the morning where you are walking in anyway, want something made that morning rather than held, and would rather eat one thing than unwrap three.
The five o'clock part
All three shops open at 5:00am, Monday through Saturday. That is the actual reason most people end up holding a kolache instead of a sandwich — at that hour the list of places with anything fresh is short, and the list of places with something savoury and fresh is shorter.
